Cannibidiol, or CBD, can be extracted from a variety of sources. But most commonly it is the natural extraction from the hemp plant. It is the second most abundant chemical compound found in hemp.
- CBDs are very safe
- CBDs do not give you psychoactive effects
- According to the National Cancer Institute, "Because cannabinoid receptors, unlike opioid receptors, are not located in the brainstem areas controlling respiration, lethal overdoses from Cannabis and cannabinoids do not occur."
- CBDs can be taken in high doses
"... a defender of CBD oil writes that "hemp that is cultivated in accordance with... the Farm Bill is expressly legal... [and] extracts from such a plant are legal.
Section 7606 of the Farm Bill did define industrial hemp as cannabis plants with less than 0.3 percent THC."
